Taoiseach to travel to Brussels next week

An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar travels to Brussels next Wednesday for a number of Brexit-related meetings.
He will meet with the President of the European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, to discuss preparations for a ‘no deal’ Brexit in the event that the Withdrawal Agreement is not ratified. This work is intensifying both within the European Commission and across the Member States.
The Taoiseach will outline the work underway in Ireland and the supports that may be needed given the potential impact of a hard Brexit in Ireland.
The Taoiseach will also meet with European Council President Donald Tusk. They are expected to discuss the latest developments in London. The Taoiseach will use the opportunity once again to thank the institutions, and the other Member States, for their continuing support for Ireland.
