U2 visit Government Buildings to meet with Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
On Wednesday, U2 band members Adam Clayton and The Edge paid a visit to the Taoiseach in Government Buildings after the second of four sell-out concerts in Dublin. The main topic for discussion concerned the band's donation of €2m to Irish organisation Music Generation.
€3 million funding package to support community participation in Ireland 2016
On Wednesday, Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Arts Minister Heather Humphreys, Minister of State Ann Phelan, Chairman of IPB George Jones and CEO Ronan Foley were in Government Buildings for the announcement of a €3m funding package to support the programme of local events planned to mark the Centenary of the Easter Rising.
Over 2,000 events and initiatives have already been confirmed for next year as part of the Local Authority led County Plans for Ireland 2016.

Disposable income up over 3% - CSO
On Thursday, the CSO published its Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) in Ireland. Irish people's disposable income increased by over 3% between 2013 and 2014. The report presents results for 2014 and compares them with data from previous years.

Building on Recovery in Cork & Kerry
On Friday, Ministers Coveney and Howlin and a number of Junior Ministers were in Cork to highlight the benefits of the Government’s capital investment programme, Building on Recovery, for the Cork and Kerry area. The event took place in the Irish Marine Energy Resource Cluster (IMERC), which is one of the projects being funded under the programme.

Taoiseach attends British Irish Council
On Friday, Taoiseach Enda Kenny attended the British Irish Council (BIC) Summit hosted in London by Secretary of State Theresa Villiers.
The meeting was also attended by First Minister Peter Robinson, Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, the Chief Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, and representatives from all other Member Administrations.
