Taoiseach Enda Kenny travelling to Lithuania, Latvia and Finland

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny today travels to Lithuania and Latvia. Lithuania assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 1 July 2013. In Lithuania today the Taoiseach will meet President Dalia Grybauskaite and Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius and will discuss the progress being made by Ireland's Presidency and the forthcoming Lithuanian Presidency.

In Latvia this evening, the Taoiseach will meet Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and call on President Andris Berzinš. The primary focus of the meeting with PM Dombrovskis will be Latvia's impending accession to the eurozone.

On Friday, the Taoiseach will be in Finland where he will first meet with President Sauli Niinisto at his official residence, where discussion will focus on external relations.

Over a working lunch, the Taoiseach will meet Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen for a discussion on the outstanding ambitions of our Presidency and a look ahead to the June European Council. Later in the day the Taoiseach will address the 4th Annual Economic Ideas Forum.
