The Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee TD, has today announced that she is amending her approach to the forthcoming Incitement to Hatred and Hate Crime Bill - the Hate Speech and Hate Crime Bill - to make it easier to secure prosecutions and convictions for crimes motivated by hate.
At its meeting yesterday, the Government agreed to nominate Mr. John Martin, Barrister, for appointment as an Ordinary Judge of the Circuit Court by the President of Ireland.
Ministers Charlie McConalogue and Pippa Hackett today welcomed the publication of KPMG’s report on Opportunities for the Irish horticulture sector, which Minister Hackett commissioned late last year.
Following Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, the Minister for Defence, Simon Coveney TD, has announced that the Government has approved a move to ‘Level of Ambition 2’ (LOA2), as set out in the capability framework devised by the Commission on the Defence Forces.
