Tania Banotti to be appointed as Director of the Creative Ireland Programme

The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan TD, today (Thursday) announced that Tania Banotti is to be appointed as Director of the Creative Ireland Programme with effect from June.

The Creative Ireland Programme is an ‘All of Government programme’ which is being led by the Department of Culture, Heritage and which is designed to mainstream creativity in the life of the nation and at the centre of public policy so that individually and collectively, Irish people can realise their full creative potential

Speaking today Minister Madigan said:

“I want to congratulate Tania on her new role. I have no doubt she will make an enormous contribution to the work of Creative Ireland and continue to ‘place creativity at the centre of public policy’.”

Ms Banotti said:

“I am over the moon to be appointed to this role. Creative Ireland is a hugely ambitious initiative. Many of its goals are ones I have worked on my whole professional life so I’m looking forward to starting.”
