Department of Children and Youth Affairs Language Scheme under the Official Languages Act 2003

Frances Fitzgerald TD, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, today announced the publication of the Department’s Language Scheme under the Official Languages Act 2003, with the agreement of the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht. This scheme, which will be in force for a period of 3 years, outlines the extent to which services are currently available through Irish, and identifies areas for future enhancement.

The Department is committed to making every effort to accommodate customers who wish to conduct their business in Irish in accordance with the provisions of the Official Languages Act 2003.
