Jobs Week 2016
Over 150 events are scheduled across the country during Jobs Week to provide jobseekers with information, advice and skills to get back to work. These events include Job Fairs, information sessions for job seekers on upskilling opportunities and careers, career advice workshops covering CV preparation, interview techniques and job shadowing provided by employers in their companies.
The idea behind Jobs Week is to promote awareness of the suite of services, supports and products provided by the Department for both jobseekers and employers. These services have been broadened and expanded to include financial support for people when they become unemployed, as well as working with jobseekers to help them to access the necessary skills and training they need to get back into work again.
