Appointments to the Law Reform Commission
The Government today appointed
- Ms Finola Flanagan as the full-time member of the Law Reform Commission for the period to end-February 2015, and
- Mr Donncha O'Connell as a part-time member until 31 August 2012 (when the term of appointment of the other part-time members ends).
Ms Flanagan is a former Director General of the Office of the Attorney General. The previous full-time Commissioner, Ms Patricia Rickard-Clarke, has retired.
Mr O'Connell is a Law Lecturer in NUI Galway. The vacancy as a part-time Commissioner arises because Mr Justice Donal O'Donnell has resigned.
