Government Chief-Whip and Minister of State for the Irish language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Seán Kyne T.D, today (22 January) announced that he has approved a grant of up to €1,589.99 or 76% of the total cost, whichever is the lesser, to Gleann Bhairr Development Committee to buy a lawn mower and a leaf blower.
The funding has been approved for the committee to buy a lawn mower and a leaf blower for landscaping and trimming around the Community Centre.
Announcing this grant, the Minister of State Kyne said that he was very happy to make this grant available for the Gleann Bhairr Development Committee and that he was certain that it will help the committee with the great work that they do in the Centre, in regards to the promotion of Irish.
This grant has been approved in accordance with the provisions in the Community and Language Support Programme under act 2.22 of the Government’s Action Plan 2018-2022 for Irish, which was launched in June 2018.
