Ministers Ross and Griffin congratulate Irish team on success at World Para Swimming Championships in London

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Mr. Shane Ross, TD, and the Minister with responsibility for Sport, Mr. Brendan Griffin, TD, congratulate the Irish team on their fantastic success at the World Para Swimming Championships in London.

 

Minister Ross said: “I am delighted to congratulate all of the athletes who represented Ireland at the World Para Swimming Championships in London this week. In particular, I would like to congratulate Nicole Turner and Ellen Keane on winning bronze. These results are a tribute to your hard work, commitment and dedication to reach the highest levels in your sport.”

 

Minister Griffin said: “I would like to acknowledge the outstanding performances of the Irish team at the World Para Swimming Championships. Ireland's proud tradition in Paralympic sport has once again been further enhanced by the team’s magnificent performance in London this week. I would like to wish you all continued success in the future, and especially in your preparations for Tokyo.”
