Bruton announces 100 new jobs in Dublin

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today announced that Quantcast is to establish its EMEA Operations Centre in Dublin with the creation of 100 new high quality jobs over the next two years.

Quantcast is a digital advertising company specializing in audience measurement and real-time advertising.

Making the announcement, Minister Bruton said:

Big Data is a sector in which major growth is predicted in coming years, and in which Ireland has significant competitive advantages, between our existing base of companies in this sector, our skilled workforce and publicly-funded research in this area. That is why we are targeting this sector for employment growth as part of our Action Plan for Jobs. Today’s very welcome announcement that Quantcast, a world-leading company in this sector, is establishing its EMEA headquarters in Ireland with the creation of 100 new jobs demonstrates the potential that exists for Ireland in this sector.

Welcoming the announcement, Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said:

Quantcast’s presence here will bolster Ireland’s reputation as the ‘’Internet Capital of Europe.’’ This company is one of the top five ‘’big data’’ processing organisations in the world offering customers a pioneering, targeted audience advertising solution. I would like to offer the on -going support of IDA Ireland to Quantcast; a most welcome addition to Dublin’s cluster of digital media companies.
