Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today  welcomed the announcement by Liberty Mutual Insurance Group that it is to create 150 new jobs over the next 2 years in the company’s Blanchardstown, Dublin office.

The new jobs represent an expansion of the company’s IT operations, which currently employ over 350 people in Belfast. The 150 new jobs will bring the total Liberty Mutual Insurance Group workforce in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland to more than 1,500 employees. The company’s IT operations in Belfast specialise in enterprise level software engineering support for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group worldwide.

Minister Bruton said:

Over recent months we have seen significant jobs growth in the area of international financial services. Today’s announcement is a further boost for the sector and for the economy. Great credit is owed to IDA for their work on this project.
