Tánaiste announces €50,000 in funding for paediatric heart surgery and HIV services in Kenya

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore meets two-year old Lewis Wendo in Fuato Nyayo slum in Nairobi today. Lewis' family has benefited from the Irish Aid supported Mater Comprehensive Care Clinic in Nairobi, which provides provides HIV healthcare to over 3,000 patients in the Makuru slums of Nairobi. Irish Aid has provided almost €53,000 to this programme over the past two years. The Tánaiste today announced an additional €50,000 to support the hospital's programmes.
