With the launch of the new Export Trade Council we are delivering on a key commitment in the Programme for Government. This Government is committed to doing all in its power to support an export led recovery. As a relatively small player in the global market place, Ireland must go forward with a joined-up approach in promoting our trade, tourism and investment sectors. At tomorrow’s meeting of the Export Trade Council we will be charting the course ahead; working together so that our resources and expertise are marshalled in a way that supports Irish firms, of all sizes, in all parts of the country, that are trading and growing their businesses overseas.
