Minister of State Brian Hayes launches the Farmleigh Christmas Programme 2011

Brian Hayes TD, Minister of State with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works (OPW) today officially launched an exciting programme of events for the Farmleigh Christmas programme 2011.

Farmleigh is one of the country’s finest State properties and for several years now has hosted a popular programme of events for young and old. This year you can take a trip into Christmas past with Horse and Carriage rides through the Estate, enjoy a tour of the beautifully decorated House and visit the outdoor crib and animals on the Estate. Carol singers will add to the enjoyment of your day. There will be plenty of festive entertainment for the family with magic shows, storytelling and special Christmas puppet shows with Conor Lambert. Children can meet Santa Claus and post their Santa letters in the special post box, which goes straight to Santa’s house in the North Pole! Enjoy the Farmleigh Christmas food market in the old farmyard with festive treats, while being serenaded with harmonies from the Barbershop choirs

The events take place on Saturdays 3rd , 10th and 17th and Sundays 4th ,   11th and 18th from 10am to 4.45pm.

All events at Farmleigh are free to the public but some may be ticketed. Please check http://www.farmleigh.ie/Events/Title,16354,en.html for further details.
