Minister Deenihan accepts National Museum acquisitions from Kerry based artist Earl Allgrove

Arts Minister Jimmy Deenihan attended the National Museum today to accept the Museum’s most recent acquisitions from Kerry based wood turner artist Earl Allgrove.

The National Museum of Ireland has acquired for its collection eight objects by Kerry based wood turner Earl Allgrove.

Minister Deenihan said

...this extremely talented artist was brought to the Museum’s attention while participating in a craft development project with South Kerry Development Partnership. Having started working with wood relatively recently – back in 2003 – Earl has shown tremendous natural skill in attaining this level of competency with wood turning.
