Minister Deenihan launches 2nd National Biodiversity Plan
Heritage Minister Jimmy Deenihan today launched the then2nd National Biodiversity Plan at the National Botanic Gardens.
The new Plan - Actions for Biodiversity 2011-2016 builds upon the achievements of the previous plan. It focuses and addresses emerging issues. It has been developed in line with EU and International Biodiversity strategies and policies. The plan sets out the measures Ireland will take over the next 5 years and is presented as 102 actions under a series of 7 Strategic Objectives.
