Taoiseach Enda Kenny attended the annual 1916 Commemoration Ceremony in Arbour Hill today. The Ceremony was led by President Michael D. Higgins.

Solemn requiem mass was offered in the Church of the Most Sacred Heart at 10am for the souls of those who died for Ireland in the 1916 rising. This was followed by a procession from the church to the memorial. The President then layed a wreath to commemorate those who died in 1916. A minute silence was observed followed by the sounding of the last post.
