Taoiseach Meets with Brother Kevin Crowley of the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless

Taoiseach Enda Kenny today met with Brother Kevin Crowley of the Capuchin Day Centre for the homeless and members of a cycling group partaking in the third Dublin to Belmullet charity cycle in support of the Day Centre.

The group of 30 cyclists is comprised of Prison Service Officers from Mountjoy and Castlerea, Garda Siochana and cyclists from Dublin and Belmullet.

The Day Centre was founded in the late 1960s by Brother Kevin Crowley. From humble beginnings of providing soup and sandwiches to about 50 people. It has grown to be one of the biggest food centres in Dublin City. One of the Day Centre’s greatest financial challenges is to provide 1250 food parcels to those in need every week.
