Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Minister Fitzgerald speak with members of Comhairle na nÓg at today's showcase

Children &  Youth Affairs Minister Frances Fitzgerlad today hosted the first-ever Comhairle na nÓg National Showcase. Taoiseach Enda Kenny also attended the showcase, which involved 500 teenagers from the 34 Comhairle na nÓg around the country.

Comhairle na nÓg are local child and youth councils, which give children and young people, under the age of 18 years, a voice in the development of local services and policies.

Each Comhairle na nÓg had dedicated stand to showcase their work on important issues for young people and a wide range of national and local decision makers were been invited to view their stands.
