Taoiseach Enda Kenny today officially opened Proclaiming a Republic: The 1916 Rising at the National Museum in Collins' Barracks, Dublin.
The exhibition is part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme. Included in the exhibition are a selection of objects from the Easter Week collection, among them Thomas Clarke's razor, Patrick Pearse's spectacles and a home-made bayonet made with blades of garden shears or clippers.
Many objects in the exhibition have not been seen on public exhibition before.

Proclaiming a Republic opens to the public on Thursday 3rd March and admission is free. You can find more information on the National Museum website here.
