Extension of Deadline for EPSO Competition for Irish language Translators

Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Joe McHugh T.D., has welcomed the announcement from the European Personnel Selection Office that it has extended the deadline for the competition to recruit Irish language translators for the Institutions of the European Union.
Applications will now be accepted until Thursday, 20 September 2018.

This competition is being held by EPSO (European Personnel Selection Office) to fill up to 72 positions for Irish language translators in the Institutions of the European Union. The positions, for which the salary scale starts at €4,707 per month and rises to €5,326, are located in Brussels and Luxembourg.

Applications for the recruitment competitions may be made on the recruitment website www.jobs.eu-careers.eu. The competition is open to university graduates, including those who will receive their degree this summer, who have an excellent knowledge of Irish and a thorough understanding of at least two other official EU languages, including English, French or German.
