Fifth meeting held of Advisory Group on Planning for State Examinations 2021

A meeting of the advisory group of stakeholders on planning for the State Examinations 2021 was held online today, Wednesday 28 April.

 

The group includes representatives of students, parents, teachers, school leadership and management bodies, the State Examinations Commission (SEC), the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and the Department of Education, including the National Educational Psychological Service.

 

At today’s meeting, the group received presentations from the Department and State Examinations Commission in relation to arrangements for the 2021 Leaving Certificate examinations and Accredited Grades process. The presentations included updates on the reopening of the Candidate Self-Service Portal, the publication of the Education (Leaving Certificate) (Accredited Grades) Bill 2021, and the development and publication of various guidance documents in support of the Accredited Grades Process.  

 

The next meeting of the group will take place in May 2021.
