Grant of €11,126 approved by Minister of State McHugh for the Immigrant Centre Committee, Carna, Co. Galway

Joe McHugh, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands announced that he has approved a €11,126 grant to the Immigrant Centre Committee to enable them to build a wall and a fence next to the Immigrant Memorial Centre.

Announcing the grant, the Minister of State stated that he was satisfied that he was able to assist the Committee to complete this project.

I understand that their planned work is vitally important in terms of health and safety. I am sure this work will enhance the valuable facility they have provided in the Migrant Memorial Centre.

The grant is being approved under the Gaeltacht action as part of ​​the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
