Grant of up to €49,940 sanctioned by Minister of State McHugh

Joe McHugh T.D.,  Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, announced today, 14 September, that he has sanctioned a grant of up to €49,940 for CLG Naomh Mhuire to enable them to upgrade their clubhouse.

Announcing the grant, Minister of State McHugh said that he was very pleased to provide a grant that would help the club to carry out construction work and to upgrade the building. The Minister of State said,

These works will enable the Association to cater for the whole community and facilities will be made available to everyone as they prepare for Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta 2021

This funding is being sanctioned in accordance with Action 2.20 of the Community and Language Supports Programme under Area for Action 2: An Ghaeltacht in the Government’s Action Plan 2018-2022 as part of the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language.
