Grant of up to €23,605 approved by Minister of State Kyne for Coiste Peile an Phiarsaigh, Ros Muc to build a fence at their pitch

The Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Seán Kyne, today (6 November) announced that he has approved a grant of up to €23,605 or 80% of the total cost, whichever is the lesser, for Coiste Peile an Phiarsaigh to build a new fence at the pitch in Ros Muc, Co. Galway.

The funding has been approved for the committee to build a new viewing fence at the football pitch in Ros Muc. The wooden fence which runs around the pitch at present is rotten and cannot be repaired.

Minister of State Kyne said:

I am very happy to approve this grant for this active committee. There are excellent sporting facilities available in Pearse Park, Ros Muc and I hope that this funding will help the committee in keeping the pitch and its surroundings in a good condition.

The grant is being approved in accordance with the commitment given in relation to the Community and Language Supports Programme under Action 2.22 of the Government’s Action Plan 2018-2022 for the Irish Language, launched in June 2018.
