Grant of €5,005 sanctioned by Minister of State McHugh

Joe McHugh T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, announced today, 6 July, that he has sanctioned a grant of €5,005 for Comharchumann Shailearna to enable them to purchase flooring, office equipment and computer equipment.

Announcing the grant, Minister of State McHugh said that he was pleased to be in a position to help Comharchumann Shailearna in delivering this project. “Training and education classes, as well as social events, are run throughout the year in Seanscoil Shailearna. The grant content will help to improve the condition of the facilities in Seanscoil Shailearna to assist Comharchumann Shailearna in adding to the programme activities provided to the public.

This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht area for action of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
