Justice Minister's statement on publication of the 'Cloyne Report'
The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Mr. Alan Shatter, T.D. has welcomed the decision by the High Court today which will allow for the publication of the Commission of Investigation of the Report into the Catholic Diocese of Cloyne, subject to the deletion of certain references.
The Minister understands that it is now necessary for counsel for the parties to agree what deletions are necessary to the Report to give effect to the Judge's order.
Once that process has been completed, the Minister, together with his colleague the Minister for Children, Frances Fitzgerald, will have the necessary arrangements made for the publication of the Report as soon as practicable.
