Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Shane Ross T.D., is happy to announce that an important section of the Galway to Dublin Greenway will open for public use this week.

Minister Ross said;

“I’m delighted that the Greenway section from Kilcock (Chambers Bridge) to Maynooth (Bond Bridge) will be open for use this week for cyclists and pedestrians. This provides a timely opportunity for people to walk or cycle off any excess calories incurred during the festive season.

I would like to thank Kildare County Council on their work in bringing this project to completion and I very much look forward to the official opening of this section and others in County Meath in 2018 as well as the publication of my Department’s new Greenways Strategy.”
