Minister Deenihan advertises for Chairman of Board for the Heritage Council

Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has published an advert on the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht website seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced persons in a vacancy for a  non-executive position of Chair of the Board of the Heritage Council.

The advert can be seen on the website of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

Interested persons should state their area of expertise, relevant experience and qualifications, and also set out clearly any actual or potential conflicts of interest if they were to be appointed as Chair of the Board.

The Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies:

includes a description of the role and responsibilities of Directors.

The Minister may appoint persons from outside the expressions of interest received in response to this advertisement.
