Minister Deenihan offers congratulations on Oscar win.
Jimmy Deenihan TD Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht congratulated ‘The Shore’ directed by Terry George and starring Ciaran Hinds and Kerry Condon on winning the Oscar for Best live Action at the Academy Awards this morning (Monday 26th February, 2012.
“This short film which received part funding from Tourism Ireland maintains focus on the island of Ireland as a place to create film success. I am especially delighted for the stars of the film who herald from Northern Ireland and also for Terry George a native of Belfast.”
