Minister Fitzgerald Congratulates Katie Taylor on becoming the World Lightweight Womens Champion for the fourth time
Frances Fitzgerald T.D., Minister for Children & Youth Affairs has extended her congratulations to Katie Taylor following her Gold Medal win and fourth world title at the World AIBA World Women's Championship in China.
Speaking today, Minister Fitzgerald said: “I want to congratulate Katie Taylor on winning her fourth world title in a row and on also winning the best boxer award at the tournament; she is such an inspiration to other young women and a great ambassador for Irish sport. I wish her continued success at the Olympics in London.”
