The Minister of State at the Department of Health Róisín Shortall T.D. has expressed regret to learn from media reports that the Chief Executive Officer of the HSE has stepped down.
The Minister said "Cathal McGee's departure is a significant blow to the health service and in this very challenging time of severe budgeted pressures he will be badly missed."
