Minister of State McGinley announces a grant of €8,000 for “Crann Óg”, Na Doirí Beaga, to further develop the arts in the Gaoth Dobhair area.
Minister of State for the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley T.D., has sanctioned €8,000 for music classes in An Chrannóg in Gaoth Dobhair for the 2013/14 school year, which will help to promote music and song in the area.
Announcing the grant, the Minister of State said that he is happy to be in a position to provide this money to An Crann Óg again this year,“The Crannóg has a central and continuing role in the promotion of the unique native culture of the Gaeltacht and we are indebted to them and to the teachers employed by them as there is clearly a valuable outcome to their work,” the Minister of State said.
