Minister Ring officially opens Home Holiday Pavilion at Holiday World 2013

Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD officially opened the Home Holiday Pavilion at the Holiday World Show 2013 in the RDS this afternoon.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the Show which continues until tomorrow (Sunday 27 January 2013).

Speaking today, Minister Ring said: "The Home Holiday Pavilion here at the Show is a wonderful showcase of what’s on offer for tourists and visitors to Ireland this year.  There are representatives from every region of the country providing expert advice and some great ideas for anyone planning a holiday or short break in Ireland this year."

Minister Ring continued: “Our marketing efforts have moved up a level to promote the Gathering 2013 and the improving tourism trends, with improved confidence and access helping to deliver growth from key European, North American and long-haul markets and good international coverage of Ireland as a top tourism destination, all bode very well as we begin 2013, the year of the Gathering."

"Our packed calendar of festivals and events all around the country offers plenty of excellent reasons to visit Ireland this year. More than ever, there is wonderful value to be had and with the many exciting events taking place for the Gathering, I am sure there is something to suit everyone considering a Home Holiday in 2013."
