Minister Shatter Congratulates An Post and the Defence Forces on the release of a four stamp set honouring the Defence Forces across all Services
The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Mr. Alan Shatter, T.D., welcomes the initiative and acknowledges the co-operation between An Post and the Defence Forces in producing this historic set of stamps which pay tribute to the extraordinary work done by the Defence Forces both domestically and in the arena of international peacekeeping.
The Minister said “It is a great honour for the Defence Forces that An Post chose to depict the substantial contribution made by Military personnel both at home and abroad while performing their duties on behalf of the State and the United Nations. I am certain that there will be significant interest from the public and philatelists in this historic set of stamps”.
