Minister Sherlock welcomes success of Irish students at Microsoft Imagine Cup

Minister Sherlock said “I was delighted to hear of the success of Sligo IT in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2011 in New York late last evening.

It was a wonderful achievement to compete on the international stage against 70 countries and to emerge victorious. The success of these students is a real positive boost to Ireland’s international reputation”.

Minister Sherlock added, “I would like to congratulate the individual members of the winning Team Hermes, their families and Sligo IT, including their mentors and lecturers there.

I would like to wish Sligo IT and the Team Members continued success into the future, and I wish to mark this very noteworthy achievement for all concerned.”
