Minister Varadkar pays tribute to DAA Chief Declan Collier

Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar has paid tribute to Dublin Airport Authority Chief Executive Declan Collier, who has announced plans to move to London City Airport.

"Declan Collier oversaw Dublin Airport Authority through a very challenging period for the economy, and for the aviation industry.

"During his term as chief executive, Mr Collier oversaw the construction and completion of Terminal 2, which opened on schedule.

"He also made an important contribution to the joint marketing initiatives launched with Tourism Ireland, which are designed to attract more visitors to Ireland and boost the tourism industry.

"I am sorry to see Mr Collier go. I would like to extend my best wishes to him for his term at London City Airport, and to thank him for his contribution at the DAA."

Mr Collier’s term is due to expire in April. Separately, a new Chairman for the DAA is due to be announced shortly.
