Minister Madigan congratulates Jessie Buckley and Barry Keoghan on BAFTA Rising Star nomination
The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan, has today extended her congratulations to Irish actors Jessie Buckley and Barry Keoghan on being shortlisted for the BAFTA EE Rising Star award.
Minister Madigan said:
I am delighted to see two amazing, young talented Irish actors being nominated for such a prestigious award – the BAFTAs are among the premier annual film industry awards and to be nominated, particularly in this category recognising emerging new talent, is an honour and a sign of great things to come for both.
The winner of the award will be announced at British Academy Film Awards on 10 February next.
