Minister McEntee launches Call for Applications for funding under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020

Minister for Justice and Equality, Helen McEntee TD, today issued a Call for Applications from interested bodies for funding under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020 (hereinafter referred to as AMIF).

 

Total funding of €770,000 has been made available for the Irish Refugee Protection Programme (IRPP) to develop several Regional Support Organisations (RSOs) whose role it would be to further develop the Government’s Community Sponsorship programme.

 

Announcing the call for applications, the Minister McEntee said,

 

Increased diversity presents Ireland, as a society, with many opportunities. Opportunities to enrich our culture, expand our economy, and, more generally, to share ideas and learn from each other.

 

This funding will assist groups whose priority it is to ensure that refugees and other migrants can integrate successfully into Irish life and make a real contribution.

 

All applications will be focused on activity in the State, and the selection of projects to receive funding under this Call will have regard to the desirability of achieving a geographical spread of activities in all of the following areas;

 

Area 1:  Dublin / Louth

Area 2:  Cork / Kerry

Area 3:  Limerick / Tipperary / Clare

Area 4:  Meath/ Kildare /Wicklow / Westmeath /Offaly

Area 5:  Waterford /Wexford /Kilkenny / Carlow /Laois

Area 6:  Galway /Mayo / Longford /Roscommon

Area 7:  Leitrim /Sligo / Cavan /Donegal / Monaghan

 

The maximum funding available for each individual geographical area is €110,000

 

The contract duration is from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2022, and application forms for interested groups, and a guide containing more information on the AMIF, can be found by accessing the following links –
