Minister McEntee launches the Psychological Society of Ireland Annual Conference 2016 - “Who are we: where have we come from and where are we going?"

Minister McEntee today launched the Psychological Society of Ireland Annual Conference 2016 in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. The conference - entitled “Who are we: where have we come from and where are we going?"- will examine issues of identity over the four days of its duration.
Minister McEntee commented, ‘This conference draws together people committed to expanding our knowledge and understanding of each other. I particularly welcome the inclusion of a free public lecture as this will encourage broader discussion of mental health issues.’
The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) is the professional body for psychology in the Republic of Ireland. Established in 1970, the Society now has over 2,500 members. Since its creation the members of the PSI have helped shape and develop psychology as a science in Ireland and their work and commitment has given Irish psychology a voice and standing on the world stage.
