Minister Pat Breen highlights opportunities for Irish investment in the Visegrad states
Minister for Trade, Employment and Business Pat Breen hosted an event in Iveagh House today focused on Irish investment opportunities in the Visegrad countries.
Irish companies with presence in the four Visegrad states of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary were represented, as well as a number of Irish Government Agencies working extensively in the region to promote Irish business and investment. The event was led by the Hungarian Embassy in Ireland, with Ambassador of Hungary, István Pálffy, opening proceedings.
Speaking in advance of the event, MOS Breen said
I would like to thank Ambassador Pálffy and the Ambassadors of all Visegrad countries present for their participation in today’s event. This offers an excellent opportunity to strengthen and further develop the strong trade and investment links between our respective countries.
Minister Breen recently completed a trade mission in Poland and the Czech Republic, during which contracts worth over €7.5 million for Irish companies were agreed, which included 28 Enterprise Ireland client companies considering export opportunities across a range of sectors.
