Minister Ross wants to hear from the Rickshaw Industry

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Shane Ross recently at a Joint Oireachtas Committee put the industry on notice of his preferred option to ban rickshaws. The Minister as part of the discussion outlined the different options open to him, but also all the aspects and constraints of regulation.

Speaking today the Minister said:

I have outlined my preferred option, but of course I want to hear from people who will be affected by any decision I may make, so we are now looking for submissions from the industry. We outlined the difficulties with some options open to me. But as always we have to hear from all sides.
