Ministers welcome positive outcome following negotiations between HSE and Psychiatric Nurses Association
Minister for Health Simon Harris TD and Minister of State for Mental Health Helen McEntee TD have today welcomed the announcement that following the conclusion of engagement between the HSE and the Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA), under the auspices of the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), agreement has been reached on all outstanding matters at the centre of the ongoing work to rule.
The escalation of industrial action proposed to commence from 8am tomorrow (17th August) will not now go ahead and all other industrial action underway since June 29th will cease with immediate effect.
The Ministers would like to thank the officials from both organisations, as well as the WRC, for their work in negotiating this positive outcome, and welcome their joint focus on patient wellbeing.
