New Ambassadors of Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan present Credentials at Áras an Uachtaráin

Their Excellencies, the Ambassadors of the Argentine Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Azerbaijan presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today.

H.E. Ms. Laura Bernal, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, was accompanied by Mr. Diego Sadofschi, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission.

H.E. Mr. Branko Nešković, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is resident in London.

H.E. Mr. Tahir Taghizadeh, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, also resident in London, was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ulviyya Taghizadeh.

Mr. Sean Sherlock TD, Minister of State for Development, Trade Promotion and North-South Cooperation at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, represented the Government at the ceremony.

The following were also present: Mr. Art O’Leary, Secretary-General to the President; Mr. John Conlan, Assistant Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Ms. Síle Maguire, Chief of Protocol; Mr. Joe Brennan and Ms. Claire Buckley, Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The Ambassadors were escorted to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2nd Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Second Lieutenant Michael Conneely.

A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by the 1st Armoured Cavalry Squadron, Defence Forces Training Centre, Co. Kildare, under the command of Second Lieutenant Niall Harte.

Captain Fergal Carroll conducted the Army No. 1 Band, Cathal Brugha Barracks.
