Shatter Statement: Appointments to State Boards
The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter TD, today announced that he is seeking expressions of interest from suitably-qualified persons for membership of the following State Boards:
· Censorship of Publications Board
· Censorship of Publications Appeal Board
· Classification of Films Appeal Board.
Details of the statutory functions of these Boards, and the qualifications required for membership of them, are available on the website of the Department of Justice & Equality (www.justice.ie) and will be available on the web site of the Public Appointments Service (www.publicjobs.ie).
The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest is Friday 22 March, 2013. Appointments to these Boards will be made by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence.
Persons interested in applying for these positions may wish to note that there is no remuneration attaching to these positions. However, travel and subsistence expenses may be payable in respect of attendance at Board meetings.
