The Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter TD, has been informed by the Garda Commissioner that incidents at an event yesterday in Limerick are being fully investigated and, as the nature of remarks reported to have been made will form part of that investigation, the Minister does not propose to make any specific comment on them at this stage. However, the Minister has consistently made clear that threats made by and activities of criminal terrorist groups are completely unacceptable and will be met with the full rigours of the law.
