Statement by the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality Frances Fitzgerald TD
I am deeply shocked by the tragic death of Ms. Jo Cox MP. This is truly a disturbing and horrific act. The murder of a Public Representative working on behalf of her constituents is an attack on democracy and on democratic freedoms which I condemn utterly. My thoughts are with her family and friends. We also stand in solidarity with our colleagues in Westminster who have suffered this great loss.
