Statement from Minister Kevin “Boxer” Moran, Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief regarding the Part 8 Planning Application for Morrison’s Island in Cork City
Save Cork City have been granted leave to seek a Judicial Review of the decision by Cork City Council to approve the Part 8 Planning Application for Morrison’s Island which is an important public realm project for Cork City with integrated flood defence elements included.
While I am anxious that this project would proceed as quickly as possible in order to provide much needed flood protection for Morrison’s Island in Cork City, I fully respect the right of any citizen to bring matters to the Courts. As this is now a legal matter, I cannot comment further.
