Varadkar congratulates winners of Irish Healthcare Centre Awards
Minister for Health Leo Varadkar has congratulated all the winners in the recent Irish Healthcare Centres Awards.
The awards recognise the excellent work being done at the frontline of our health service.
He paid particular tribute to the joint winners of the Healthcare Person of the Year award: Shauna Keyes and Joey Cornally, and Roisin and Mark Molloy.
“I’m delighted that the outstanding work and campaigning of Shauna, Joey, Roisin and Mark to improve maternity services has been formally recognised. Shauna and Roisin, willingly and ably, represented service users on the Maternity Strategy Steering Group and helped to shape the future direction of our maternity services.
“Their invaluable input to our first Maternity Strategy, Creating a Better Future Together, will have lasting and wide-reaching impact over the next ten years, as the Strategy is implemented. I think the award is richly deserved and I send both families my warmest congratulations.”
